Singing our way through Australia Day
At Tenterfield Care, we love the chance to celebrate different events. Nothing beats the opportunity to dress up, get involved and get together.
Residents from Millrace and Haddington came together to celebrate Australia Day in true blue style, sharing laughter, music and memories. Dressed for the occasion in green and gold; red, blue and white, and plenty of fun accessories, everyone embraced the spirit of community.
The sounds of the ukulele set the tone, playing much loved Australian songs and enthusiastic residents joined in, proudly singing classics like Waltzing Matilda. Our kitchen team served a delicious spread of traditional Aussie favourites, including meat pies, lamingtons and fresh fruit.
Residents reminisced about the past and celebrated the rich, multicultural way of life that makes Australia so special.
