Vintage vehicles take residents for a ride down memory lane
Aah, the good old days! Tenterfield Care opened its gates to the local community recently for very special vintage vehicle show that had everyone reminiscing about the romance of yesteryear.
The Tenterfield Classic Motoring Club packed our grounds with shiny cars and motorbikes, resplendent with their classic curves and chrome accents.
Residents spent hours admiring the beautifully maintained vehicles and chatting with proud owners. Many were reminded of first cars, first loves and family holidays.
“I’ve never seen so many beautiful cars,” said one of the residents. “This car reminds me of the movie, Grease,” said another. “I’d love to sit in it!
The comments kept coming as they carefully inspected the vehicles: “I miss the smell of the old engines”; “They had true grunt!” “They don’t make them like that anymore.”
Manager, Joey, said the day was a huge success. “We had a great turn out and seeing the smiles on the residents faces as they interacted with the owners and the community was wonderful. We all enjoyed tucking in to a BBQ lunch, too. A huge thank you to everyone involved, especially our incredible team for making this such a memorable community event.”
