We’re looking forward to summer at Tenterfield Care
Nothing says the end of year quite like a busy social calendar and Tenterfield Care residents have their weeks full with a range of outings and festive activities.
A group of residents visited an old friend recently. Janette, previously a cook at Millrace, but now retired, welcomed them warmly to her home and garden where they caught up as they strolled amongst the trees and flower beds, admiring the colourful blooms. The stories continued over morning tea where they indulged on her famous scones.
Resident, Tom, thoroughly enjoyed the morning out. “My brother built the house we visited many years ago and it was so nice to see it again, and in such good order.”
Resident, Mary, took the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces. “It was lovely seeing friends I haven’t seen in ages. I wish we could have stayed longer!”
Activities Team Leader, Kasey, says as the weather warms up, the team has planned a program specially designed to include favourite summer activities and excursions, like an Australia Day BBQ lunch, an outing to the Tenterfield Show, gardening, outdoor BBQs and much more.
