Memories take centre stage at local Eisteddfod
Several residents enjoyed front row seats at one of the region’s longest running traditions – the Tenterfield Eisteddfod.
Over a few days, enthusiastic residents watched the diverse program of dance, music, and speech and drama performances with local school groups and individuals showcasing their skills.
The Eisteddfod began almost 50 years ago under the sponsorship of the Quota Club and holds a special place in the hearts of many residents. Over the years, our community has been home to numerous former organisers, volunteers, Quota Club members, and even teachers, making the event particularly meaningful. Those attending were proud to see the tradition continuing to thrive and inspiring new generations.
For Haddington resident, Dianne, the performances brought back a lifetime of treasured memories. A former dance teacher, she watched the ballet, tap and jazz routines closely, scoring performances unofficially and offering enthusiastic feedback to fellow residents.
